Court the Muse Series

This series was inspired by my daughter Courtney’s selfies. Each piece is my interpretation of the images she took of herself as a teenager and the way I feel she and those images relate to the world. They are provocative, creative and captivating. Her images were my muse, so it was sort of a non-collaborative collaboration. Much of the work, quite unintentionally, centers on her beautiful hair and how it echoes her movements and shimmers in the light,
much the way pearlescent resin does.
